Not sure what hit me in July of 2008, but I reached a tipping point. I needed to learn how to grow and cook food! Maybe it was all the green campaigning or corporate "wellth" check-ups or Austin hippie culture, but I started with one 3x3 foot vegetable box and have been expanding my horticultural and gastronomical horizons ever since.
With a few years of results (good, bad, and indifferent) under my belt, I can't claim to be a newb any more. However, I am surprised so often in the backyard or kitchen that I can't claim to be an expert either. And quite frankly, I'm not in this to become a garden snob or elite foodie. I'm in this to have some fun and share some adventures along the way.
